Description THE FIRST KINGSWOODIANS On 12th October 1893 i the Chairman reported that he had received an application from
Mr J Fennell for two boarders’, and Josiah Slater remarked ‘that the, board must now
accept that the School, would open in January of the next year.’ 'The photograph above is a picture óf those two boys Arthur Pervical Richard Fennell (1894
.1896) and Louis Reginald Page Fennell (1894 -1897) of Butterworth whose names appear
as Ity-T and No 2 on the College Register. Percy was sent overseas to do Medicine.after,
leaving school. -Louis became a certificated Attorney and practised in the Transkei.

.Grahamstown on the mule-drawn "post cart'£and it took three days for the journey.’
