Description Arthur Thomas Williamson for 33 years a member of the staff of Kingswood College 1901 - 1935 A.T. Williamson, affectionately known as "Pappy", joined the staff in 1902. He retired in 1928, but the College could offer him no pension so they asked him to remain on and become the first College Bursar, a position he held until he died of a heart attack in’ March of 1936. During his teaching career he twice acted as Headmaster whilst Col E.G. Gane was away at the Front. In 1919, after the Rev James Robb’s death, the Council took over the Prep Boarding establishment which Robb was running and A.T. Williamson became the first Housemaster of Kingswood Prep. This post he held until 1927 when he took over as Bursar. He was also O.C. of the Cadet Corp 1912-1928 and the first Honorary Secretary of the O.K. Club from 1902 -1910.
